Renata Bowers visited with preschoolers, kindergarteners, and first graders across the city to share singing, dancing, and story. Everyone met Frieda B., Renata's fiery red-head character who uses her imagination to take her to many exciting places. This Pajama Party kicked off WPS' literacy series which will be followed up with four virtual 30 minute events where Renata will support families and caregivers in reading at home. She will offer tips to better engage children in the act of listening to books and strategies to help our littlest learners become readers themselves. Beginning January 7, and continuing 1/21, 2/6, and 2/25 from 7-7:30 p.m., we invite adults of young children to participate in this helpful series from the comfort of their own homes.
