Franklin Avenue will be celebrating Read Across America all week long. In honor of Dr. Seuss, Read Across America was created to celebrate his birthday on March 2. Students at Franklin Avenue will have the chance to participate in activities all week long.
Monday, 2/27 - Wear Red and Blue to celebrate "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish"
Tuesday, 2/28 - Wear Green to celebrate "Green Eggs and Ham"
Wednesday, 3/1 - Stop! Drop! and READ! Throughout the day we will have reading breaks to acknowledge what a powerful skill this is to have.
Thursday, 3/2 - Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss - Dress as your favorite book character
Friday, 3/3 - Silly sock day to celebrate "The Foot Book"
Westfield State University will also be holding a Read Across America celebration on March 25, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. for all families in the community.
