Franklin Avenue Elementary School

Adopt a Classroom Alert! John Raymaakers from J.L Raymaakers and Sons Inc. visited second grade at Franklin Avenue to show students how he works with erosion in his career (and how math and reading skills are essential). Students recently completed a Project Lead the Way module on the topic of erosion and were able to see how these skills are used in the real world. They were even able to test out the Front Loader! Students will be seeing John again when they take a field trip later this month to a site in Westfield where he and his team are working on solutions to prevent erosion.
