Kids often get excited when they see a snowplow during the winter, since it could mean a snow day. But on a warm April afternoon, one third-grade class at Munger Hill Elementary School was excited to see this kind of vehicle for a much different reason.
The large yellow snowplow that parked in front of their school on April 6 is now known as “Luke Snowalker” — because of them. Third graders in Claire Adams’ class submitted that name in the “Name a Snowplow” contest conducted by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation this past winter.
