FAA Powerplant

The Aviation Maintenance Technician program at the Westfield Technical Academy achieved another milestone on Oct. 17, with the awarding by the Federal Aviation Administration of certification to teach powerplant, or aircraft engine repair, one of the three certifications needed in AMT. The program is now complete.

The certificate was awarded live on the Superintendent’s Spotlight on Westfield Community Television by FAA Aviation Safety Inspectors Dean Dickman and Ryan Starkey to Galen Wilson, WTA Aviation department head, with WTA Principal Bruce Hastings and Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski in attendance.
