We are seeking volunteers to participate in the Credit For Life Fair. The Credit For Life Fair is an opportunity for students to learn real-life budgeting and money management skills they will use throughout their lifetime. While at the Fair, students will choose their profession, be assigned monthly take-home salaries, and then navigate different booths (i.e., housing, insurance, clothing, retirement, etc.) to make "purchases" utilizing imaginary cash, credit, or savings. The goal? To learn to live within their budget. Volunteers will be assigned to a booth and interact with students as they make their “purchases.” Don’t worry; volunteers will receive a booth overview and all necessary information before students arrive.
The event is on Wednesday, April 3, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm at Westfield High School. We ask that volunteers arrive at 7:30 am to learn about their booth. High School students from Westfield will attend, as well as students from other high schools in our area.
If you are able to volunteer, please scan the attached flyer to register. If you have any questions, please email kate.perez@schoolsofwestfield.org. Thank you for helping make the Credit For Life Fair a meaningful experience for our students.
